I never thought I’d dance with a t-rex on the job at a wedding reception! Nicole and Rob, THANK YOU for that… and for being so incredibly warm and welcoming. I was so happy you invited me to be a part of your beautiful day!
So why a T-Rex, you might ask? It seems this stunt was payback for a prank our groom Rob played on his best man Adam at his own wedding, printing out silly photos of Adam that he found on Facebook and mounting them on sticks. How fun would the world be if everyone had Rob’s sense of humor!
I had been looking forward to this couple’s summer wedding day for a long time, working at the Fox Chapel Golf Club with my colleague and partner Christina as she shot video with her company SYNCOPATED PICTURES.
The weather that day was gorgeous! After the ladies got ready in the locker room, we all headed out to the ceremony location, a gorgeous outdoor space at the edge of a hilltop overlooking the golf course. What a view!! It was a bit hot, though, so after a short photoshoot we jumped back on the golf carts and headed back to the ballroom for their reception. I am always excited when a couple both tie the knot and celebrate at the same venue- it makes for such a relaxing day for the bride and groom!
Nicole and Rob had a timeless, elegant vision and it really came together so perfectly, much thanks to Kourtney of Epic Event Planning. Peonies, chic ballroom, twinkle lights, light pink dresses, impressive cookie table, classic tailored suits, a gorgeous sunset view over the stone patio, a beautiful couple, and… dinosaurs.
PERFECT.
