The C. Family | Mount Lebanon

baby sitting in highchair with sippy cup dangling from mouth

I photographed Ashley and Caleb’s wedding 7 years ago, and was SO HAPPY to be invited back into their home to photograph a day in their life with their little miracle baby, C, who was approaching her first birthday.

It was very much a baby-led afternoon… We played in the house, gave C her snack and nap, took a quick dip in the backyard pool, and then rinsed off in the tub. Incredibly relaxing!!! Just goes to show you don’t need to make big plans or schedule activities in order to get great photos in your own REAL LIFE session. There are so many great photos to be made in just hanging out at home!

The short video below shows off some of my favorite images from the C. family’s photo session…

Less time? My top 20 or so photos are in the gallery below… Enjoy 🙂

Ashley contacted me a month or so ago, after I published my Disney blog post: The reason I should have hired a documentary photographer for our Disney trip. In that post I talked about how sad I was that I wasn’t able to exist in any Disney photos from our trip, because I was too busy taking all of the pictures. Ashley completely related to my dilemma, and I am so excited she decided to do something about it- because I LOVED meeting little C and seeing Ashley and Caleb again!!

Apparently I learned from my Disney mistake, though… In my last trip (to Morocco!) I brought along a fantastic documentary photographer and friend. We BOTH took the pictures- of each other and of everything else we experienced. Double bonus for me!

ANYWAY if you are your family’s photographer and can relate to this story, let’s chat! I would love to help you #existinphotos , too.
